Re-imagining candidate assessments
At BPS, we’ve seen a move away from traditional candidate assessments, those focusing on IQ and personality tests. As businesses prioritise soft skills, traits such as creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability, the use of gamification in candidate assessments is becoming increasingly popular.
Gamification makes the assessment process fun and engaging and you don’t just have to look at the end result. These assessments offer a more rounded picture of someone’s ability and what they’ll bring to a team.
In the current climate, the difference in outcome between a 'good hire' and an 'excellent hire' has never been greater. In 2021, we see the role played by talent in driving business performance as key. When looking to attract, recruit, and retain the best people, for many organisations, changing the way they assess talent will offer significant benefit.
But don't just take our word for it. For more insight into the value of gamification, check out our recent Perspectives interview with Athina Dova, COO and Co-founder of Owiwi, a leading gamification company.
